About The Game

The action of the game “STALKER: Call of Pripyat” takes place after the end of the events of the game “STALKER” and the destruction of the project “O-Consciousness” by Strelkom.

Having learned about the opening of the road to the center of the Zone, the government decides to conduct a large-scale military operation to take control of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. The operation is codenamed “Farway”. According to the plan of this operation, the first group of the military should go for aerial reconnaissance of the territory in order to subsequently draw up detailed plans for the location of anomalous fields. Then, along the marked safe passages, the main forces of the military will advance.

Despite careful preparation, the operation fails. Most of the strike group’s helicopters crash. In order to collect information about the reasons for the failure of the operation, the Security Service of Ukraine sends its agent to the center of the Zone. Then it all depends on the player.

How to Download & Install S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat Linux Game

OpenXRay is an open source project based on the source code of STALKER: Call of Pripyat, which aims to fix all the original bugs and introduce new features for both regular users and modders.

Add. information :
– If you have a black screen in the game, specify your resolution in the _appdata_/user.ltx file (vid_mode line)
– If you have lighting problems in the game or ripples all over the screen, try disabling SSAO in the game settings (in Clear Sky disabling SSAO through the game settings does not work, you need to edit the user.ltx file)
– Here is a list of launch parameters
– In the old_openxray_builds directory there are old versions of the engine, in case your game does not start or has problems with the new version of the engine
– The language can be changed by changing the g_language option in _appdata_/user.ltx

Launch order :
1. Unpack the archive with the game
2. Unpack the contents of the directory in the OpenXRay archive into the directory with the game
3. Run the start.sh script
