    About The Game

    Balrum

Balrum is a gorgeous old-school RPG sandbox with a huge, randomly generated world, turn-based battles, all kinds of quests, crafting, building and many other possibilities! Remaining one of the few who survived the terrible war with the undead, you took refuge in the Dark Woods. Will you be able to survive there, gain strength and expel evil spirits from your native lands? The answer is yours! The game is set in a world that has survived a war with the undead. Only the inhabitants of two villages were able to escape from the all-consuming horror that destroyed the kings along with their armies. They hid in the mysterious Dark Woods, from which no one has yet returned. For now, this is enough, because even the armies of the dead cannot set foot in these lands. Despite the epic setting, instead of the usual saving of the world, the game focuses on more mundane, but no less important things. So, for example, the goal of the first chapter is to build a house for the protagonist and his grandfather. In the process of building and extracting materials, the player will have to craft items and even farm (the fruits will serve as a medicine in case of injury).

In addition, the game has a change of day and night, as well as full-fledged weather conditions. The player will have to improve his home, hunt, fight bandits, fight epidemics of disease, grow vegetables and do many other things. Fights in the game take place in turn-based mode, however, the actions of your hero can affect the entire game map. So, for example, a fireball released past the target can fly off to the other end of the map and inadvertently burn a couple of trees … or a fence you recently built. There is also “stealth” in the game. After exploding, the aforementioned balloon can distract the enemy’s attention, allowing you to sneak up on him from behind in real time and initiate a fight with a critical blow to the back!

Add. Info : Unmodified DRM-free edition from GOG. GOG bonuses are present.
