About The Game

Nature is beautiful, but inexorably harsh. Shelter 2 is built on this contrast; and that’s why we decided to make a game about lynx. The lynx occupies a middle position in the food chain. Much more formidable predators roam the cold tundra.

You will feel like you are in the shoes of a mother lynx, who gives birth to her cubs shortly after the start of the game. You have to take care of them to ensure what matters most: their survival. Compared to the first game in the series, the gameplay of Shelter 2 has been significantly enriched: such characteristics as stamina, various movements (including jumping), and new types of loot have appeared. In addition, the range of available actions has expanded: the lynx can sniff out prey, call the cubs to itself, carry them to a safe place and bring them to water to drink.

Endless wild lands await you.
The game world (and therefore freedom of movement) in Shelter 2 is much larger. Players can return to their favorite places. Now the game changes both the weather and the seasons: harsh winters and hot summer days await you.
The music was once again written and performed by the band Retro Family, which once won an award for the soundtrack to the game Pid. Memorable patchwork-style graphics are enhanced by new atmospheric effects and lighting.

How to Download & Install Shelter 2 Linux Game

Click the Download link below and you should already have installed a download client on your system.
Notification will pop and say “that our site wants to open this application”. Click the button to open the client to let the download begin and wait for it to finish.
Once Game Shelter 2 for linux is done downloading, Extract (Unzip) “*******.tar.gz” -if you encounter this file- (To do this you must know how extract .tar.gz Files using Linux Command Line here).
Right click the ./start.sh, select “Properties”, go to the “Permissions” tab, mark the file as executable. Then just treat it more or less like one of those Setup.exe’s on Windows. Double-click it to run it.

If you have an old distribution, or it says that the archive format is not supported, check if zstd
2 is installed. Run Shelter2.x86
If the game does not start, check if 32-bit versions of the libraries are installed. You can check dependencies using the command: ldd Shelter2.x86
